Circa 1960, Lake Breeze was the first charming cottage built next to Europe Lake. Nestled in the heart of Door County, it offers a nostalgic escape surrounded by the adventures of Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Gills Rock, and the short ferry ride to Washington Island. This enchanting two-bedroom cottage, with its 4-season porch and spectacular lake views, invites you to step back in time and embrace the simplicity of a bygone era. Furnished in vintage camp style with modern amenities, Lake Breeze comfortably sleeps up to seven guests, ensuring that every visit is filled with memorable moments.
The space
As you enter Lake Breeze, you'll be welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The primary bedroom features a plush queen bed, while the second bedroom offers a cozy twin bed and bunk beds, all fitted with new Sealy hybrid mattresses. The living room, adorned with a Joybird sleeper sofa, provides additional sleeping space. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and washer/dryer, ensures convenience and comfort during your stay.
While you may not feel the need for TV or Wi-Fi during your tranquil getaway, Lake Breeze offers both to keep you connected. The serene waters of Europe Lake are just 20 feet from your doorstep, inviting you to swim, float on the raft, or fish from the pier. Feel free to use our kayaks, canoes, and rowboat to explore the lake, or simply relax on the private benches near the water's edge.
Guest access
Lake Breeze offers its own dedicated parking near the kitchen deck. Entry is effortless with a provided key code, giving you the freedom to come and go as you please. The entire property is yours to enjoy, with beautiful, quiet, and comfortable spaces to take in the stunning views of Europe Lake. Gather around the fire pit in the evening to roast marshmallows and share stories of your day's adventures under a starlit sky.

We are delighted to announce the reopening of Lake Breeze in August 2023. Returning guests will appreciate the thoughtful updates, including a new deck, fresh mattresses, bedding, pillows, and the addition of a dishwasher and washer/dryer.

“We spent a few days at Kent and Gwen‘s nostalgic cabin on Lake Europe. We really appreciated all the special touches throughout the cabin as well as the cleanliness. It brought back all those memories of camping long ago and we all slept well on the very comfortable beds. They had great Wi-Fi so I was still able to work and we were able to watch our favorite shows at night on the Roku Tv. We loved having our morning coffee on the back porch overlooking the lake.
