Circa 1962, Lake View was built along the tranquil shores of Europe Lake, nestled next to her sister cottage, Lake Breeze. Surrounded by the charming adventures of Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Gills Rock, and the short ferry ride to Washington Island, this two-bedroom retreat invites you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its vintage camp style and modern amenities, Lake View offers a perfect blend of nostalgia and comfort. Wake up to the gentle caress of a morning breeze and a magnificent sunrise, painting the sky with vibrant hues, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
The space
Step inside and be greeted by the warm, inviting ambiance of Lake View. The cottage comfortably sleeps up to eight guests, with the master bedroom featuring a plush queen bed, and the second bedroom offering an "L" bunk bed that sleeps four, all with new Sealy hybrid mattresses. The living room includes a Joybird sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space. Large picture windows provide breathtaking, heavenly views of Europe Lake, making you feel as if you're floating on water.
The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and washer/dryer, ensures convenience and ease during your stay. While you may find yourself disconnecting from the world, TV and Wi-Fi are available for those moments when you wish to reconnect.
Guest access
Enjoy the entire property, including a private deck perfect for sitting and relaxing, a swing, lawn furniture, and an outdoor grill. There's a parking spot included with Lake View along the circle on the west side of the cottage. The grounds offer plenty of activities: swim just 20 feet from your doorstep, float on a raft, or fish from the pier. Gather around the fieldstone fireplace for cozy evenings roasting s'mores and sharing stories.
Feel free to use our kayaks, canoes, and rowboat to explore the serene lake. Lounge chairs and paddle boards are also available, along with life jackets and water toys to enhance your lake experience.

We are delighted to announce the reopening of Lake View in August 2023. Returning guests will appreciate the thoughtful updates, including new decks, mattresses, bedding, pillows, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. Lake View is pet-friendly; please refer to our pet policy for details.

She and Kent have spent a tremendous amount of thought into decorating the cabin. It was so warm and cozy. If I ever have a cabin of my own, I am asking Gwen to decorate!
